Compact apartment in a fantastic location Positive: Fanstastic location - check in and check out was super easy and convenient. Outdoor bath was a drawcard. Bathroom was a good size. Welcome little bottle of bubbles was lovely touch. Negative: Apartment was quite small but was well stocked. It was quite expensive but worth it for us because of the location. We did have a problem arise and unfortunately it was difficult to get a hold of anyone. The problem seemed to be out of their hands but we were not offered any compensation for what was actually a great inconvenice. The issue happened the first night we stayed and we were not offered the option of changing rooms. It then happened again the next night. It really did take out the "luxury" part of our stay. Better professional communication is needed, voicemail message said not to leave a voicemessgae as these aren't checked however there was no reply to text or messages to their business instagram page. It is a realatively new business so hopefully they take on feedback from this and other reviews.

Small but perfectly formed! Positive: We spent just one night in Matakana and were very happy with this property. It was small and compact but everything was carefully designed and considered so it was attractive, comfortable and provided everything you could want without it ever feeling cramped. Outside space was great, too, and there were many thoughtful touches. But the most fantastic thing is the location - right in the heart of Matakana, a moment’s stroll from the shops, market, cinema, eating places etc.
